Since I’ll be graduating in May, I’ve been doing A LOT of brainstorming trying to come up with ideas for my own personal brand. I designed a logo, letterhead, business card, resume, the whole nine yards for a class last year. I’m really wanting to update everything, though; come up with a whole new look and feel. I built a simple portfolio site to go along with all of my old branding stuff, but I have learned so much more about XHTML and CSS since, I feel like I can start over and make a really nice site. I’m at the stage of gathering inspiration right now, I need to have a lot of ideas swirling around in my head before I start to put things on paper. I ran across a great source of inspiration for personal branding and business cards the other day cardobserver.com. Not only is there good design inspiration for business cards, but the website itself (designed by Henry Jones)is awesome: clean, simple, easy to navigate and the idea is great. Anyone can submit business cards to the site, but only the best are chosen for display.
